The remote location of Lago Nero means there's minimal light pollution, making it an excellent spot for stargazing. On clear nights, the sky comes alive with countless stars, offering a mesmerizing view that's hard to find elsewhere.

The Cornisello lakes, nestled in the heart of the Brenta Dolomites, are breathtaking alpine gems that captivate visitors with their natural splendour. Located at an elevation of 2,120 meters, they can be easily accessed via the scenic Val Nambrone road. The lakes are framed by the majestic peaks of Cima Giner, Cima di Bon, Cima Cornisello, and Om de l'Amola, creating a dramatic backdrop that enhances its allure. The upper lake, known for its deep, intensely blue waters, contrasts beautifully with the lower lake, which is shallower and features crystal-clear, transparent waters. This serene and picturesque setting makes these lakes a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts and photographers alike.
I laghi di Cornisello, incastonati nel cuore delle Dolomiti di Brenta, sono gemme alpine mozzafiato che catturano i visitatori con il loro splendore naturale. Situati a un'altitudine di 2.120 metri, sono facilmente accessibili tramite la pittoresca strada della Val Nambrone. I laghi sono incorniciati dalle maestose cime di Cima Giner, Cima di Bon, Cima Cornisello e Om de l'Amola, creando uno sfondo drammatico che ne esalta il fascino. Il lago superiore, noto per le sue acque profonde e intensamente blu, contrasta magnificamente con il lago inferiore, che è più superficiale e presenta acque cristalline e trasparenti. The milky color of the Cornisello Lakes contrasts with the dark hues of the nearby and towering Lago Nero. This distinctive shade is due to the presence of glacial silt suspended in the water, which is carried to the lake by the inflows, particularly from the Cornisello glacier.
The Upper Cornisello Lake, elongated in shape, is set in a broad grassy basin interspersed with rocky areas. Surveys from the 1950s showed it to be larger (370 meters in length and 210 meters in width) and four times deeper than the Lower Lake, with a maximum depth of around 21 meters. A small islet characterizes its northern end.

Il colore lattiginoso dei laghi di Cornisello contrasta con le tinte scure del vicino e imponente Lago Nero. Questa tonalità distintiva è dovuta alla presenza di limo glaciale sospeso nell’acqua, trasportato al lago dai ruscelli in particolare dalla vedretta di Cornisello.
Il Lago di Cornisello Superiore, dalla forma allungata, si trova in una vasta conca erbosa alternata a zone rocciose. I rilievi degli anni '50 hanno mostrato che è più grande (370 metri di lunghezza e 210 metri di larghezza) e quattro volte più profondo del Lago Inferiore, con una profondità massima di circa 21 metri. Un piccolo isolotto caratterizza la sua estremità settentrionale.
I have just written an article for a newspaper that includes a biography and a few words about my work currently on display in the Belluno Dolomites. I think these words I wrote describe all these photos I recently shot in this magnificent area of northern Italy.

Ho appena scritto un articolo per un giornale che include una biografia e alcune parole sul mio lavoro attualmente in esposizione nelle Dolomiti Bellunesi. Credo che queste parole descrivano tutte le foto che ho recentemente scattato in questa magnifica area del nord Italia.
